Actors salary of Tamil film industry as on date

Super Star Rajnikanth: He was paid Rs 23 Crores for Endhiran. He has not spoken about the salary for Kochadaiyaan. He will get a certain percentage of the profit as salary for this film. He has not demanded any salary for the film he is going to act next. AGS is waiting for his call sheet and is prepared to pay twice the remuneration that Rajnikanth got for Endhiran. 

Actor Kamal Haasan: He got Rs 10 Crores for Dasavatharam. After this, Kamal did not act in any other banner. He produced his own films Unnai Pol Oruvan and Viswaroopam. It is understood that Kamal after the great success of Viswaroopam is demanding Rs 25 Crores.

Actor Vijay: He was paid Rs 11 Crores for Thuppakki. For Thalaivaa he was paid Rs 14 Crores and for Jilla he got Rs 15 Crores. This is the current salary graph of Vijay. There is news that Vijay will be paid Rs 18 Crores to act in a film to be directed by Murugadoss.

Actor Ajith: He has started taking a salary of Rs 12 Crores for Billa 2. He has not demanded much for the film Valai in which he is acting now. This film which is being directed by Vishnuvardhan is being produced by A M Rathinam. Ajith has not demanded much from A M Rathinam because is facing financial crunch. Ajith will be next acting in a film to be directed by ‘ Siruthai’ Shiva. He has been paid Rs 18 Crores for this film.

Actor Surya: Normally Surya while signing for a new film will also acquire the Telugu rights along with his salary. He was paid Rs 7 Crores for Maatran directed by K V Anand. He acquired the Telugu rights of this film and sold it for Rs 16 Crores. On the whole, his salary is Rs 23 Crores.

Actor Vikram: He was paid Rs 12 Crores for Thandavam. In the recent times, his films did not do well at the box office but he was paid Rs 11 Crores for I directed by Shankar.

Actor Simbhu: He was paid Rs 6 Crores for Poda Podi. For the films Vaalu and Vettai Mannan in which he is acting, he has been paid Rs 7 Crores.

Actor Dhanush: If a film is good, Dhanush will be ready to reduce his salary. 

He has received Rs 7 Crores for the films Mariyaan and Naiyaandi.

Actor Jiiva: Director Gowtham Menon paid Jiiva Rs 3 Crores for Nee Thane En Ponvasantham. Jiiva has demanded Rs 6 Crores to act in a film directed by Vinayan.

Actor Jayam Ravi: As far as Jayam Ravi is concerned he is somewhat back. He was signed for the film Aadhi Bhagavan, three years back. He was paid Rs 3 Crores. He was not able to act in any other films for the last three years. He was not able to increase his salary. Now it is understood that he has been paid Rs 4 ½ Crores for the film Boologam produced by Aascar Films.

Actor Vishal: Like Surya, Vishal will also acquire the Telugu rights along with his salary. He will sell it for Rs 3 Crores in Andhra Pradesh. Producer Michael Rayappan has paid Vishal Rs 5 Crores plus the Telugu rights of the film Pattathu Yaanai. On the whole, his salary is Rs 8 Crores.

Actor Arya: Arya’s salary before Naan Kadavul was only few Lakhs. Only after this film, his salary rose heavily. He got Rs 2 Crores for Boss Engira Baskaran. For Vettai, he was paid Rs 3 Crores and now for Settai he was paid Rs 4 ½ Crores.

Actor Karthi: Initially he had acted only in three films which were produced under various banners. After this he continued to act in the films produced by his own production house Studio Green. It is understood that he had demanded Rs 7 Crores and Telugu rights from a producer who wanted his call sheet. In Telugu, his films do business for Rs 6 Crores. On the whole is salary is Rs 13 Crores.

Actor Vijay Sethupathy: Vijay Sethupathy received only a few thousands as his salary for the film Thenmerku Paruvakaatru. He demanded Rs 8 Lakhs for the films Pizza and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. Vijay Sethupathy has started demanding in Crores these days.
