Ajith is one of the important and special person in the Tamil film industry. He is celebrating his 42nd day birthday. Here are 42 snippets about him.

 

 

1.   Ajith made his entry into film through the Telugu film Prema Pustagam in 1992

 

2.   He made his debut through the Tamil film Amaravathi. He continued to act in many films including        Paasamalargal, Pavithra and Rajavin Parvaiyile.

 

3.   When Ajith was tensed because his films did not taste success, the film Aasai in which he donned the    lead role was a great success. This film which was directed by Vasanth was produced by Manirathnam.

 

4.   Though he continued to act in many films, the films Kadhal Kottai and Kadhal Mannan in which he donned the lead roles were great success and because of this, he was considered one of the leading actors of the Tamil film industry.

 

5.   The film Kadhal Mannan which was released in the year 1998 was a great success and because of this he caught the attention of Tamil Nadu producers.

 

6.   During the shooting of Amarkalam, he fell in love with Shalini. He married her in the year 2000. This couple has a beautiful angel called Anoushka.

 

7.   Ajith does not like any title to be prefixed before his name. Director Saran gave him the title Ultimate Star when the film Amarkalam was released. When he acted in Asal which was also directed Saran, he advised the director not to prefix ant title before his name.

 

8.   Dheena is a hit film which had Ajith in the lead role. This film was directed by A R Murugadoss. There is a dialogue in this film, “Thala Irukum Pothu Vaal Aadakudathu. Nee Aadu Thala.” (When there is head the tail should not wag. You dance.” From that time, fans started fondly call him Thala.

 

9.   There were also controversies in his film career. He was signed for the film New, Mirattal, Naan Kadavul and Eru Mugam. Since there was difference of opinions, he refused to act in these films.
