In our films the complicated heroine should cry but in the film Ethir Neechal, I have donned the role of a bold girl. In the first place it is a cheerful thing for me to get the opportunity to act in this film.

One day Dhanush called me on the phone and told me that he is going to produce a film for the first and asked me to don the heroine role. If he had wanted he could have called any heroine. I am happy that he had called me. Then acting with Sivakarthikeyan is another experience for me. I have not seen his TV programmes. I thought he will speak comically but he was a cool and peaceful person to move with. I am donning the role of an English teacher called Geetha. This role will not be a typical teacher role who wears cotton sari and carries a colourful umbrella. My role in this film is a bold one. I am also acting in the film titled Vanakkam Chennai.

The test shoot for this film was done some months ago. At that time, they never spoke about commencing the shooting. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi simply made the test shoot to see how it comes out. After this I started acting in other films. All of a sudden, she called me and said, "We are going to start the shooting and you are the heroine of this film. " I gave my nod. Shiva is the hero of this film while Santhanam is donning an important role in this film. This is a comedy film but very neat."
