Do not block Viswaroobam appeals Rajnikanth to Islamic brothers

In a statement about Viswaroobam has mentioned, “On the outset my heartfelt wishes to Tamil people who are Gods who make me live.   I am very upset seeing the Viswaroobam issue which is taking place for the last few days. I am a close friend of Kamal Haasan for the last 40 years. I very well know that Kamal is a person who will not  hurt the feelings of anyone. After Viswaroobam was censored, Kamal Haasan took steps to screen his film even before its theatrical release to the Islamic brothers. This itself shows clearly the respect and regard, he has towards the Muslim society. Moreover Kamal Haasan has spent Rs 100 Crores to produce this film. I am deeply saddened when I came to know the struggle he has undergone to produce this film. Kamal is not an ordinary artist. He is a great person who has taken Tamil cinema to the world level. Keeping all this in mind, I request the Muslim brethren to speak to Kamal when he comes back and settle this problem amicably without asking for blanket ban of this film. I also wish the Muslim brethren a happy Milad-Un- Nabi.”
