This film which has been directed by A L Vijay has Amala Paul in the female lead role. Sathyaraj is donning an important role in this film.
Major portions of this film have been shot in Mumbai and Australia. G V Prakash has composed the music for this film.
It was earlier announced that the film will be released on the birthday of Vijay but due to some technical snags this could not materialize. So now it has been confirmed that the film will hit the screens on 9th August.
The audio rights of this film have been acquired by Sony Music. The audio CD of Thalaiva will be released on 22nd of this month (Vijay’s birthday).
