These days Santhanam is interested in donning hero oriented comedy roles. The reason for this is the film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya. Santhanam is once again sharing the screen with Sethu and Vishaka Singh who had earlier acted in Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya. Santhanam role in this film is called Valiba Raja. Now you can guess who the hero of this film is. Santhanam after completing this film will be acting in a film titled Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham. This film is the remake of the super hit comedy Telugu film Maryada Ramanna directed by Rajamouli. This film was supposed to be directed by Kannan who had earlier directed Settai. Since he is busy in some other project, Srinath who happens to be the protégé of late cinematographer and director Jeeva will be directing this film. The shooting of this film will be commencing soon.
