Laurels were heaped upon director Karthik Subburaj for innovatively directing the film Pizza. After this film Karthik Subburaj was busy in the work connected with his next film. He has completed the story, screenplay and dialogues. The shooting of the film commenced yesterday. Siddarth and Lakshmi Menon are in the lead roles. Others in the cast are Simhaa, Karuna, Guru Somasundar and Prathap Pothan. Kathiresan who produced Pollathavan and Aadukalam is producing this film. Award winning director Vetrimaaran had commenced the shooting in Madurai. Vijay Sethupathy who had donned the lead role in Pizza came to the shooting spot and wished the cast and crew. The shooting of this film will take place continuously in Madurai for two months. Some of the sequences of this film will be shot in Chennai. The film has been titled Jigarthanda.
