The person who was guarding my house has become a hero now says Director K Balachandar

P S Karunanidhi is producing a film titled Kallapetty under the banner I Dreams. Aswin Balaji and Rosin Jolly are in the lead roles in this film. Debutant director Ra Ra is directing this film. The audio CD of this film was released yesterday at Prasad Labs theatre in Chennai.

Ace director K Balachandar was the chief guest. He while speaking on this occasion said, " I am not well. Even before coming to this function I visited the doctor. There is a reason for my coming. In the recent times talented newcomers are becoming successful in large numbers. Lots of talented directors are coming to cinema.

They are successful and getting the audience support in the first film itself. Seeing this, I am very happy because during my days, new comers will not get recognition so easily. I was able to sustain myself by continuously directing films. Now that trend has changed. Talented people get the recognition and appreciations in their first film itself. This is a matter to be welcomed. New faces have worked in this film.

In order to bless them I have come for this function. The hero of this film Aswin had worked as a security guard in my house. Seeing him as a hero gives me an immense happiness. Whenever I go to my house I use to notice him. He will be writing something in a note book. I use to take that book from his hand and see what he has written. There will poems written by him. He has so much talent.

After this, he did not work in my house. He had moved to a bigger house to work as security. It was Kamal Haasan’s house. Four years later I had decided to direct a film which would have had him in the lead role but the matter is not that. Wherever there is talent, the audience enjoy it. In spite of my ill health I have attended this function in order to wish and bless these new comers. I will meet you all in the success function of this film."
