 After Ko, Karthika did not get many offers in Tamil as expected and because of this, she migrated to Malayalam films. She was back again in the film Annakodi directed by Bharathiraja which is to be released soon. There was not much in the offing for Karthika in Tamil.

Karthika who was disappointed because of this has now got cheerful news. She has got a solid role in the film titled Deal. She will be donning the role of the daughter of a bigwig in Rajapalayam. Normally the heroines in the film will have duet songs and Kuthu songs. In this film whenever Karthika appears there will be fiery fighting sequences.
