Shruthi Haasan speaks out in support of her father

Kamal Haasan has been facing a lot of hurdles from various sources from the time he announced the release of his magnum opus Vishwaroopam. After crossing all the obstacles, the film was finally set to hit the screens on January 25. But just a day before its release, the film was banned by the Tamil Nadu government following protests from some Muslim Organizations against its screening. The actor appealed to the Chennai High Court and a lot of tension has been brewing around the judgment, which is now being expected on February 6. Kamal Haasan has now decided to move the Supreme Court. Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruthi Haasan, who has been watching closely the turmoil her father is being put through, speaks out through her micro blogging site in support of her father. She wrote,"I've had the privilege of being born into an artistic family and my father is one of my greatest inspirations as an artist.its so saddening for me to see this day as a daughter and an artist where someone isn't allowed to put out their work and isn't allowed the basic freedom and respect that should be granted to any artist.love you bapu ..we are with you"
