Music composer Ilayaraja and ace director Manirathnam meets after 20 years

Nearly after 20 years, music composer Ilayaraja has met director Manirathnam. They spoke hours together. When Manirathnam debuted as a director, Ilayaraja had composed music for all his films till Thalapathy.

The songs which were created with this combo turned out to be a great hit. The last film that Ilayaraja had composed for Manirathnam was Thalapathy. Since there was a rift in their relationship, Mani roped in A R Rahman to compose music for Roja. A R Rahman had composed music from Roja to Kadal.

Now Ilayaraja is composing music for a Hindi film directed by the famous Bollywood director Balki. Manirathnam has met Ilayaraja at this point of time. It is understood that Balki has arranged for this meeting. Since they had met after a long time, they spoke for a long time forgetting their difference of opinions. Sources in the industry say that both will be joining hands soon.
